THE VOCAL WORKOUT

LIP AND TONGUE TRILLS

The word ‘trill’ means to create a vibratory sound.  Almost like the sound is bouncing at a rapid rate. With our lips and our tongue, we are going to create two types of trills. The aim of this exercise is simple. We are going to trill by rapidly flapping our tongue or lips by using the passing of constant airflow through our mouth. The airflow is also used to sustain a note. This exercise is useful for learning how to control the flow of air while singing a song.
